Short answer

One online class covers the whole corridor

MathPert offers online IGCSE Maths tuition in Malaysia via live Zoom, so a student in Mont Kiara, SS2, and Subang Jaya can all be in the same class. The class is capped at 8 students, runs 1.5 hours per session, and is led by Teacher Au throughout. No branch to travel to, no commute across the KL-PJ-Subang corridor.

Why online works here

The KL-PJ-Subang commute problem

Evening traffic across the KL-PJ-Subang corridor is a real constraint for families. A tuition centre in SS2 is not convenient for a family in Chow Kit. A centre in Subang Jaya adds 45 minutes of driving for a family in Damansara. MathPert's class is online, so the location of the tuition centre is not a factor. The class time is fixed; the location is not.

  • No travel. Students log in from home and the full 1.5 hours goes to learning.
  • Same teacher throughout. Teacher Au leads every session. There is no rotation of tutors.
  • Small group. The class is capped at 8 students so Teacher Au can see each student's working in real time.
  • Live, not recorded. Students are expected to answer when called on. They cannot skip ahead or replay a section — the class moves together.
What the class covers

Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (0580)

The IGCSE Maths class at MathPert follows Cambridge 0580. The focus is on method: reading multi-step questions, choosing the right first step, structuring written working, and handling algebra cleanly. These are the exact points where students lose marks in exams, not because they don't know the topic, but because the method breaks at a specific step.

If your child takes Add Maths

Cambridge Additional Mathematics (0606) is a separate class

IGCSE Maths (0580) and Additional Mathematics (0606) are two different Cambridge subjects. If your child is taking Add Maths, see the Add Maths tuition page or the 0606-specific guide. Both subjects have separate class groups at MathPert.
