Maths marks slipping? Find the exact step that is losing them.
A free 10-minute check, set for your child's year, shows which step the marks are leaking from, so the next hour of practice goes to the right place.
- 8 questions
- Result on screen straight away
- Free, no obligation
Teacher Au, MathPert. Teaching IGCSE Maths and Add Maths since 2018, in small online groups and one-to-one.
Why the marks suddenly start slipping
Most children who struggle with Add Maths are not weak at maths. They are carrying one or two Year 9 steps that never became automatic. Add Maths moves fast and stacks every new topic on top of those steps, so a small crack turns into a falling mark. In our experience the marks usually leak from three places.
You see the mark on the paper. You do not see which step broke. That is the part the check is built to find.
What the 10-minute check tells you
- 1A score band. Strong foundation, some gaps, or significant gaps, out of 8.
- 2The weak steps, named. Each question tests one step, so a wrong answer points to the exact step, not just "algebra".
- 3The next step. Teacher Au reads the result and tells you what to fix first.
Steps to look at first
- Indices: power of a product
- Algebra: expanding brackets
- Functions: substituting into f(x)
Illustration only. Your child's result is worked out from their own answers.
The free 10-minute check
Hand the phone to your child for 8 short questions. No timer and no sign-up to start. The result appears here as soon as they finish.
What happens after you send the result
- Teacher Au looks at the result himselfNot an automated report. He looks at the score band and what it usually means for your child's year.
- He replies on WhatsApp, usually within a dayA short, plain message: what to fix first, and why.
- He suggests the right setting, if one is neededA small online group class or one-to-one, depending on the gaps and your child's exam sitting.
- You decideNo obligation and no sales sequence. If the result is all you need, keep it.
Not a tuition factory. One teacher who looks at every result.
Teacher Au
- Teaching Maths and Add Maths since 2018
- Cambridge IGCSE Additional Mathematics (0606) and Mathematics (0580)
- Live small online group classes on Zoom, at most 8 students per class
- One-to-one online lessons also available
- Also teaches at a homeschooling centre
In class every student has to show their working, so the step that goes wrong is seen, not guessed. The 8 questions above test the same steps he watches students stumble on in real lessons.
What parents send after results
"Teacher, I would like to thank you for helping my son to score straight A's in his IGCSE exam. I think you have inspired him in his maths and add maths subjects..he is very happy now."

"His school math result 75/100. Which consider very good and got improvement. Tq teacher"

"OK tq teacher. Good to know he got improvement. Cause earlier he didn't study much and his basic is very weak"

Fair questions, straight answers
Is the check really free?
Yes. There is nothing to pay and no card to enter. Your child answers 8 questions and the result shows on screen straight away. Sending the result to Teacher Au on WhatsApp afterwards is your choice.
How long does it take?
About 10 minutes. There is no timer, so your child can work through each question properly. Shorter than one homework session.
What if my child scores well?
Then you have confirmation instead of a guess, and that alone is worth 10 minutes. Teacher Au will tell you so honestly, and may point out where pace and exam technique matter next. There is no pressure to join a class.
Is this for SPM Add Maths?
The check and our classes are built for Cambridge IGCSE Additional Mathematics (0606) and IGCSE Mathematics (0580). If your child is on SPM, message Teacher Au first and he will tell you honestly whether it fits.
Which years do you cover?
Are classes online only?
Yes. Classes are live on Zoom, either in a small group of at most 8 students or one-to-one, so your child can join from anywhere in Malaysia without the commute.
Is this just a way to sell me tuition?
It is how some parents find us. But the result stands on its own: you get a real picture of where your child stands, free. If you want to talk about it afterwards, Teacher Au is one message away. If not, keep the result and use it however you like.
