MathPert Education provides online Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (0580) and Additional Mathematics (0606) tuition for students in Year 7 to Year 11 across Malaysia. Classes are taught live by Teacher Au via Zoom.
The approach is method-first. Most students who struggle in IGCSE Maths do not have a strategy gap — they have a method gap. They can follow a worked example but freeze when an exam question looks slightly different, because they memorised steps rather than understood the reasoning behind them. MathPert addresses this directly: every lesson focuses on building the student's understanding of the method, so they can apply it to unseen questions on their own.
Group classes are small — a maximum of 8 students — so Teacher Au can call on each student, check working in real time, and address specific errors individual students make. Students are expected to participate, not just listen. This interactive structure is what separates method-first learning from passive watching.
One-to-one sessions follow the same method-first framework at a pace matched to the individual student. These work well for students who need to address foundation gaps quickly or who have an imminent exam.
MathPert serves students across Malaysia — Klang Valley, Penang, Johor Bahru, Sabah, Sarawak, and students studying in international schools who follow the Cambridge curriculum. All sessions are online via Zoom.

What subjects and year groups does MathPert cover?
IGCSE Mathematics (Cambridge 0580) and IGCSE Additional Mathematics (Cambridge 0606) for Year 7 to Year 11. Students in both international schools and national schools following the Cambridge curriculum are welcome.
How many students are in a group class?
A maximum of 8 students. This is a hard cap, not a guideline — small group size is what makes it possible for Teacher Au to check each student's working and address individual errors within a group session.
What is the trial arrangement?
New students can join a paid trial class before committing to a monthly plan. Contact via WhatsApp to check upcoming class availability.
Is tuition available for students outside Kuala Lumpur?
Yes — all classes are online via Zoom, so location within Malaysia is not a constraint. Students from Penang, Johor Bahru, East Malaysia, and overseas are welcome as long as they follow the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum.
